Professionalising Careers in Research Infrastructures
About the Focus Group
This focus group was initiated on December 2023, and its aim is to raise awareness about those career paths linked to Elixir Europe that are alternative to the “typical” academic one. The target of this focus group is in particular early career researchers.
The most relevant activities of the Focus Group are:
- get an overview of the professions of the people involved in ELIXIR;
- classification based on the data collected (description of roles, hierarchy, skills needed, measure diversity);
- support the recognition of these roles in research;
- provide visibility to these roles for early career researchers.
