The ELIXIR 3D-Bioinfo Community focuses on the following key areas:

  • Protein Structure and Function: Analyse and predict protein structures and their functional annotations, including predicted functional sites and variant impacts.
  • Protein Interactions and Dynamics: Analyze and predict interactions between proteins, complexes of proteins, and their conformational landscapes.
  • Protein-Ligand and Protein-Nucleic Acid Interactions: Analyse and predict how proteins interact with small molecules (ligands) and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).
  • Structure-Based Protein Design and Engineering: Design and engineer new proteins with desired properties based on their 3D structures.
