ELIXIR Italy has launched its new website, marking a key step in its growth and alignment with the ELIXIR Hub. The redesigned platform features an updated structure, expanded content, and improved user experience across devices. It offers clearer, more integrated access to services, training, and community activities, while introducing new sections like Industry & Innovation and Impact. The site aims to better showcase ELIXIR Italy’s value to research, industry, and society.
Integration and Coherence: A Website Aligned with the ELIXIR Hub
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new ELIXIR-IT website—a significant milestone that reflects the growth and consolidation path we have undertaken in recent years. This renewal goes beyond mere graphics: it marks a substantial evolution in how we communicate and share our activities, services, and resources.
A New Digital Ecosystem
The new ELIXIR Italy website emerges as a deeply interconnected ecosystem, thanks to a complete structural overhaul and significant content expansion. It enables seamless and cross-sectional exploration. The visual impact is enhanced by a contemporary and functional design, developed to accurately reflect the infrastructure’s brand identity. Built according to the highest web standards, the site ensures a rewarding user experience that is accessible and responsive across all types of devices.
Structure and Content Serving the ELIXIR-IT Community
The new ELIXIR Italy site was created to provide more precise, up-to-date, and highly interconnected information. All Node services, including ICT services (such as cloud computing and storage) and Omics services (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics), are now grouped in a single section, accessible from the Services menu.
The Tools, Data, and Interoperability services have been directly integrated from bio.tools, ensuring more accurate information and a higher level of interoperability. At the same time, the enhanced visibility of events in the Training platform promotes more effective information exchange and better dissemination of educational activities.
Among the main new features, we’ve introduced sections like Industry & Innovation. Alongside the evolving Impact section, these were designed to clearly showcase the infrastructure’s value and tangible contributions to research, industry, and society.
The new Contacts section becomes a central point of interaction: through dedicated forms, you can submit event proposals, news, and newsletter contributions. Also available are the Job Vacancies section, with updated opportunities from the ELIXIR network, and the People, Platforms, Communities, and Focus Groups sections, which help showcase the collective work of the ELIXIR Italy community.
These updates make the website a more effective tool for telling the story, sharing, and enhancing the work carried out within ELIXIR Italy.
